Tax Classification Hearing: December 1, 2014

The Select Board has scheduled a Tax Classification Hearing to hear input and then vote on the proper tax classification on all property in the Town of Longmeadow. The Hearing will be held on December 1, 2014 at 7:10 p.m. at the Longmeadow High School, 535 Bliss Road, meeting room A15.

The Longmeadow Department of Public Works would like to remind residents that trash and recycling will be one day late for anyone regularly on Thursday or Friday pickup for the week of November 24th in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Please make sure to have your trash and recycling out by 7a.m. on the appropriate day of pickup to ensure collection.

Longmeadow’s 5k Warriors Run/Walk!!

Longmeadow Announces Warrior 5k Run/Walk:                               

Support the Wounded Warrior Project and Observe Veterans Day

October, 2014 – The Town of Longmeadow’s Department of Veteran’s Services will be conducting its second annual 5K run/walk on Saturday, November 8, 2014. This event will raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members and support the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that takes a holistic approach when serving warriors and their families to nurture the mind and body, and encourage economic empowerment and engagement.

The race will start and finish at the Greenwood Center, 231 Maple Road in Longmeadow. Read the rest of this entry »
