- Long Meddowe
Days are almost here!
This annual event takes places on our beautiful
town Green. During Long Meddowe Days, the entire family will
have a chance to shop for arts and crafts, take historic tours,
march in the town parade, ride a pony, and enjoy musical entertainment
all weekend long. There is also a 5K race/walk on Saturday morning. See the

- Town Committee/ Board Vacancies
The Longmeadow Select Board is seeking residents
to serve on various Boards/ Committees during its annual appointment
process. Check out the large number of available openings and
fill out an application if you are interested in serving the
town.
- 2007
Annual Town Report
The latest 2007 Annual Town Report is now available
online. Prior years (2002-2006) are also available on the Town
Clerk's webpage.
Hard copies are available at Town Hall. In addition, minutes of last week's Annual Town Meeting
are now available on the Town Clerk's webpage.
- Public Forum- Town-wide Facilities Study
Results of Longmeadow's town wide building
and facilities assessment were presented in a public forum on
April 3. The full
report (executive summary + individual building reports)
is now posted online. The public forum can be watched on LongmeadowBuzz.

- We are always interested in receiving
photos that can be shared with our website visitors.
Content of interest can be beauty, historic,
life in Longmeadow, etc. Preferred submissions are digital images.
If you are interested, please send images to webmaster@longmeadow.org.

- Longmeadow Community Bulletin Board
If you want to avoid standing at the local
Big Y or Williams Place bulletin boards reading the latest flyers,
event notices, etc., please plan to visit the new Longmeadow
Community Bulletin Board. Town government, school department
as well as civic groups/ organizations and individuals can use
this free resource. If you have a flyer or notice of interest
to Longmeadow residents, please submit it for a free posting
on this new electronic bulletin board (see submission
details).

Have something for sale? Need day care assistance?
The "Online Marketplace" offers free classified
ads including items for sale, items wanted, tag sales and employment
listings for Longmeadow residents only. There are also
free listings of addresses and phone numbers for Longmeadow
businesses.

In an effort to improve communications with
town residents, most key boards and committees are now posting
meeting minutes on a regular basis on their respective webpages.

page on this website. Every day LHS alumni like you are registering
their names and e-mail addresses with us. Use this database to
get back in touch with your high school classmates or just to
check out our class reunion news. This registry allows you to
print out the E-mail addresses of your classmates.
Our STORRS LIBRARY has many resources that
can be accessed directly online
from our website. Storrs Library is pleased to offer patrons
online access to electronic books/ audio and other digital information.
Some of these resources require a Storrs Library card for access.
