Bylaws Requiring Maintenance of Lawns and Tree Belts

Longmeadow residents are reminded that the town has bylaws requiring that lawns and tree belts be mowed and maintained.
New by-law: 4- 315. Litter Control, Grass Cutting, The owner or person in control of any property shall at all times keep the property free of litter and shall maintain and cut lawn grass to a maximum of six inches.
4-301. Tree Belt. The owner of any real estate in town which abuts on any public or private way within the town where there is a tree belt shall keep said tree belt mowed and free and clean of all litter, debris, noxious woods and brush, and shall maintain the same in a clean and sanitary manner.
Please be aware that the town is enforcing these bylaws.

Longmeadow Veteran’s Day Memorial Service

May 20th 2012, Noon – Longmeadow War Memorial on the Town Green

Please join us as we continue Towns’ longstanding Memorial Day Service, honoring our residents who fought and died for our country.  The ceremony will immediately follow the 11:00 am Long Meddowe Days parade and will be held at the War Memorial on the Longmeadow Green, rain or shine. We will honor soldiers from the Colonial Wars, Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War I, World War II,Korean War,VietnamWar and the Gulf Wars.

Navigating your Patron LOGIN is more intuitive. Your “dashboard” will guide you to options like Account Summary, Items Checked Out, Holds, Account Preferences, and Lists!
