Now that we are in the thick of the holiday season and our days are shorter and colder, some of us find it more difficult to find a balance between work, family and recreation. I hope that each of you will look through our offerings and find activities and programs that match your interests. Whether it is a special trip to New York City or Let’s Gogh Art, I am certain we have something for everyone. We are fortunate to once again offer a youth wrestling program with LHS Coach Alex Efstratios. Details of that program are in this publication.
I am pleased to report that the Blinn tennis courts are renovated and will be ready for use this spring. We will announce a ground breaking ceremony in early spring. We are very grateful to the Community Preservation Committee for funding this project and the Longmeadow DPW for their finishing touches on the parking lot.
Lastly, I thank all our volunteers and staff for a very successful autumn season. I would like to especially thank Jackie Wright who coordinated our cheerleading program. Jackie is a very talented, organized and patient young woman who did an exceptional job this past season with the cheerleading program this year. Thanks Jackie!
One of the most important facets of our success is offering programs and services that are meaningful to and valued by the community. If there are ideas you have or comments you wish to share, please feel free to contact us at 565.4160 or email@example.com. Enjoy this special time of year and stay active!
