Bari B. Jarvis, CPRP, CPO, M.Ed, has served the Longmeadow Parks and Recreation Department for over 20 years in many capacities. Prior to becoming the Recreation Director in 1999, Bari was the 56 Club Coordinator, Teen Center Director, and Director of School Age Services. She briefly served the Springfield YMCA as the Director of School Age Services. Due to change in Town Government, Bari's title of Recreation Director was changed to Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation, allowing for more involvement with the Parks component to the Department.
Bari received her Bachelor's degree in elementary education and psychology from Springfield College in 1995. She completed her Master of Education degree in 2001 in Recreation Management, which she also received from Springfield College.
Bari serves as a member of the Pioneer Valley Parks and Recreation Association, the Massachusetts Parks and Recreation Association, the National Parks and Recreation Association and NEPA. She is a trainer for the National Youth Sports Coaches Alliances, conducting several trainings each year for coaching in many sports, including baseball, cheerleading, track, football and t-ball. She is a Certified Pool Operator and a certified trainer with the American Red Cross.
In addition to serving as the Town's Director of Parks and Recreation, Bari is an adjunct professor with the Sports Management, Recreation and Tourism Department at Springfield College where she has taught Finance Management and currently teaches Recreation Management to undergraduate students each fall.
Cristina Judd has over 15 years experience as a dedicated employee in the field of Recreation for Longmeadow Parks and Recreation Department. She has served as Extended Day Group Leader, Summer Camp Counselor, Summer Camp Director, Teen Center Assistant Director, Teen Center Director, Extended Day Site Coordinator, Recreation Coordinator, Recreation Assistant and Assistant Director. Cristina holds her certificate in First Aid and CPR. Cristina has trained school age, aquatic and camp staff for the past eight years. Cristina is also a Certified Pool Operator. Cristina has obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Bay Path College. Cristina serves as a member of the Pioneer Valley Parks and Recreation Association, the Massachusetts Parks and Recreation Association and the National Parks and Recreation Association.
Tracy joined us in the summer of 2004. Prior to her experience with this Department, she has held numerous positions within the Customer Service field. She has worked as a bank teller, Office Manager, and a Customer Service Specialist with a health care production company. Tracy attended Holyoke Community College and received certificates in Customer Service and Office Support. Tracy also serves as a trainer for the Department's electronic pass system, training all aquatic staff on the system's functions and uses. Tracy is a member of the Pioneer Valley Parks and Recreation Association as well as the Massachusetts Parks and Recreation Association. In her spare time, Tracy enjoys quilting and riding motorcycles.
Kelly M. Zieba has over 19 years experience in the field of public recreation and is currently the Director of School Age Services with the Parks and Recreation Department. She has presented numerous trainings in Behavior Management, Team Building, Multiple Intelligences, and Child Safety. She also served the Department as the Teen Center Assistant Director and Group Leader for the After School Program. Kelly has created new programs and events for the Department such as the annual Sprite and Fairy Festival and enhanced events such as the Summer Concert Series. She has developed the School Age programs that stand as a pillar example for the EEC-bound programs. Prior to coming to Longmeadow, Kelly served both the East Longmeadow Recreation Department and the Springfield Parks and Recreation Department. She was a paraprofessional with the East Longmeadow School System and worked at the Springfield YMCA, implementing the School's Out Program. In 1997-1998, Kelly was the Freshman Softball Coach for the East Longmeadow High School team.
Kelly received her bachelor's degree from Westfield State College in Mass Communications. She also completed some post-graduate work in the field of elementary education. Kelly actively participates with the Preschool Enrichment team. Kelly is a certified instructor in First Aid and CPR.
Marina Blanusa has been a member of Parks and Recreation for over 15 years, where she held various roles within the Department. Her strong passion for teaching is evident through each child that attends Parks and Recreation. She has a multitude of experience working with children of all different ages and stages of development. She’s a highly qualified member of our team, holding her EEC Teacher and Lead Teacher certificate, Director I certificate and Serve Safe Certificate. In addition to that, she also held the Assistant Director position at Greenwood Children's Center for a number of years and was recently promoted to Day Care Director of Parks and Recreation.
