The Finance Department is responsible for overseeing all town expenditures and recording transactions in compliance with Massachusetts General Laws. The Finance Director maintains records of all town contracts, of the town’s debt, rates of interest, due dates, and provisions for payment. The Finance Director serves as the town’s procurement officer overseeing all bidding practices. The Finance Department administers payroll and other employee benefit programs. It is also responsible for all required tax reporting and works with the town’s auditing firm to ensure compliance. The Finance Department is located in the lower level of the Community House.
