The mission of the Longmeadow Homeowners Association ("LHA") is to preserve and enhance the quality of life in our community. Longmeadow is primarily a residential community. Unlike many other communities in western Massachusetts, Longmeadow has very little developable land and open space. Therefore, development of any kind has an immediate impact on neighborhoods. Our goal is to preserve and protect the predominantly residential quality of our community.
Objectives
- To encourage appropriate commercial and institutional development in the Town of Longmeadow.
- To prevent the loss of tax revenue to the Town of Longmeadow.
- To protect and enhance neighborhoods and the value of homes in Longmeadow.
- To work with Town Boards, Commissions and Officials to insure that existing laws, regulations and ordinances are applied equally to homeowners, institutional and commercial owners.
- To assist the Historic District Commission in protecting the historic character of Longmeadow.
- To work with the Town to amend the proposed Long Range Plan to insure that it reflects the foregoing.
