  There was a PUBLIC FORUM on March 9 for presentation of the proposed FY11 town budget. Town residents who attended provided feedback on proposed budget cuts. A web rebroadcast of this public forum is posted on LCTV's website. Here is a link to the presentation slides used by Town Manager Robin Crosbie to overview the FY11 budget.

 
The Longmeadow School Building Committee held a Public Information Session for the High School Building project on February 11 and 25. Updated designs and cost estimates were presented by our Owners Project Manager, Architects and School Building Committee members. Visit the SBC webpage to watch the web video replay of this event.

  • Longmeadow HS Varsity Sports
    The spring sports schedule for the Longmeadow HS varsity sports teams is now posted. Check it for upcoming games of your favorite teams. Scores are reported for most teams on a regular basis so visiting this section is a great way to stay updated.
  • Annual Town Elections Info
    Annual Town Elections have been scheduled by the Select Board for Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Information regarding upcoming deadlines and nomination papers are available on the Town Clerk's webpage.
  • Online Town Department Phone Directory
    For the second year Verizon has not included individual town department phone numbers in their published phone directory. Here is a link to an online directory. Please use these numbers when trying to contact individual town/ school departments.
  • Permitting Guidebook A useful new guidebook for citizens, businesses and property developers to understand the "permitting" process in the town of Longmeadow. There is a permanent link to this guidebook on the Planning Board and ZBA webpages.

    If you want to avoid standing at the local Big Y or Williams Place bulletin boards reading the latest flyers, event notices, etc., please plan to visit the new Longmeadow Community Bulletin Board. Town government, school department as well as civic groups/ organizations and individuals can use this free resource. If you have a flyer or notice of interest to Longmeadow residents, please submit it for a free posting on this new electronic bulletin board (see submission details).
  • Free Classified Ads
    Have something for sale? Need day care assistance? The "Online Marketplace" offers free classified ads including items for sale, items wanted, tag sales and employment listings for Longmeadow residents only. There are also free listings of addresses and phone numbers for Longmeadow businesses.
  • Board/ Committee Meeting Minutes
    In an effort to improve communications with town residents, most key boards and committees are now posting meeting minutes on a regular basis on their respective webpages. In order to make it easier for our visitors to find these meeting minutes we have created a single webpage containing links to their locations.     Click on this link to see the most visited page on this website. Every day LHS alumni like you are registering their names and e-mail addresses with us. Use this database to get back in touch with your high school classmates or just to check out our class reunion news. This registry allows you to print out the E-mail addresses of your classmates.



Our STORRS LIBRARY has many resources that can be accessed directly online from our website. Storrs Library is pleased to offer patrons online access to electronic books/ audio and other digital information. Some of these resources require a Storrs Library card for access.
