FILTERING SOFTWARE
A filter has been installed for the protection of children. If you need to have it removed, please ask the Reference Librarian.

BE AWARE!!!

The Internet is a vast, unmonitored resource. The Storrs Library cannot ensure that it will be available at all times or that the information you find on the Internet is accurate, up-to-date or authoritative.

INTERNET USE BY PATRONS UNDER 18

According to the policy set by the Storrs Library Board of Trustees, the Library has installed a filtering software called CyberPatrol. Parents/legal guardians are expected to discuss access to the Internet or any limitations on that access with their children.

Even with the filter, it is still possible that some information found on the Internet will be of a mature nature and may not be suitable for children. Parents or guardians, not library staff, are responsible for the information selected and/or accessed by children. The library will use its best efforts, but cannot be responsible for the complete efficacy of the filter program used.
