Playgroup
The Storrs
Library invites toddlers, ages 6 to 30 months, to bring their
parents along and take advantage of our playgroup series for
younger children. The library offers this series to encourage
your child's growth and development and to encourage parents
and care givers to take advantage of our extensive collection
of parenting books.
The program
begins with fifteen minutes of nursery rhymes, fingerplays, and
a short story. The playgroup will allow your toddler to enjoy
unstructured play time with other children. We provide toys for
both independent and group play, as well as music and lots of
space. Children practice early social skills, while moms, dads,
and caregivers get to talk with other parents.
