Imagineering
The Discovery Room offers
two imagineering opportunities for children. Registration is on a monthly, first come, first
served basis. Imagineering
at the Library combines literature with creativity, imagination,
and beginning engineering
skills. Every month children will be presented with an
engineering challenge based
on a reading of the librarian's choice. Children will use
LEGOS or DUPLOS to answer
that challenge.
The completed LEGO projects
and a description of that month's challenge will be displayed
in the library.
The public is encouraged
to come to the library to vote for their favorite LEGO project.
Winners will receive a prize.

or during the day on Saturday. These dedicated and responsible
young adults help library staff with shelving, shelf reading,
preparing crafts, etc.
Summer
Volunteers
Summer Volunteers work
for one hour time periods throughout the summer. They have the
important tasks of helping staff with shelving, shelf reading,
filling in for Summer Readers, etc. There is always an end-of-summer
ice cream party to thank volunteers for their help during the
summer.
Summer
Readers
Summer Readers are volunteers
who sign up to read a book to young children during one of our
