Why should I register my bicycle?

In the event that a lost or stolen bicycle is recovered, the owner will be contacted. Otherwise, without the proper identifiable tag and if the police cannot lidentify the owner, the bike will be stored and sold at the annual auction.

How do I register my bicycle?

All you have to do is make sure that you have all the necessary information before coming to the station. The dispatcher will give you a metallic sticker that should be placed in an inconspicuous place on your bike. The information that you will need is listed below.

If you are unable to locate the serial number or need assistance with completing the form, bring your bike to the station and an officer will assist you.

What forms do I need to fill out?

There is a simple form to fill out that is available online (or a hardcopy version can be obtained at Longmeadow Police Department/ 34 Williams Street). There are also instructions to complete the form online after which it should be printed and then submitted to the Longmeadow Police Department.
