LONGMEADOW COMMUNITY PRESERVATION COMMITTEE SEEKS NEW PROJECTS

The Longmeadow Community Preservation Commission (CPC) has announced it is now accepting applications for project recommendations utilizing Community Preservation Act (CPA) funding.  Applications are to be received no later than Monday, December 5, 2011 for consideration and approval at the Spring 2012 Annual Town Meeting.

Retail Store Reminder For Upcoming Holiday

Any retail store that is going to be opening BEFORE NOON on Monday, October 10, 2011 Columbus Day, must have a permit from the Police Dept. The permit is $10.00.

Dog Notice

Longmeadow Hosts Visiting Pakistani Professionals

PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING Re: RECREATIONAL USE OF THE CT. RIVER

The Longmeadow Board of Health advises residents to avoid contact with water of the Connecticut River for several days beginning on August 31, 2011 due to very high levels of bacterial contamination in the River water; this contamination was caused by a large spill of untreated sewage into the River upstream.
