Meter Replacement Program

The Town of Longmeadow is implementing a mandatory water meter upgrade program which will replace the old meter reading system by installing new water meters and radio frequency transmitters in every home and business in town. The project will begin on November 1, 2010 and will take approximately one (1) year to complete. The cost for this project was approved and funded by Town meeting in May 2010.

The Town has hired a professional installer, East National Water LLC, who will be responsible for the installation of the water meters and transmitters. East National Water will be sending out notices to each resident and business to schedule an installation appointment. All contact and scheduling information will be included in these notices. Please contact East National Water as soon as you receive your notice to schedule an appointment.

All installation technicians will have appropriate photo identification, be professionally dressed and have recognizable vehicles. You may call East National Water or the Longmeadow DPW to confirm that the contractor is working in your neighborhood.

The Town of Longmeadow would like to thank you for your cooperation as we modernize our meter reading system.
