Longmeadow Select Board

The Longmeadow Select Board, comprised of five elected members, is the Chief Executive Body of the Town. It draws its authority from the General Laws of Massachusetts and the Bylaws of the Town of Longmeadow and is directly responsible to the electorate.

The new town charter approved by voters in May 2004 reorganized the town and created a new full time position called "Town Manager" who is appointed by the Select Board. The Town Manager position is the chief administrative officer of the town who is responsible to the Select Board and for the proper administration of all town affairs.

Longmeadow's first Town Manager- Robin L. Crosbie was appointed March 1, 2005.

The Select Board meets on a regular basis at least two times per month on Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Police Station Community Room. The meetings are open to the public and are usually televised on Longmeadow's Public Access Television, Channel 12. Check out the Town Calendar for meeting dates.

The agenda for upcoming Select Board meetings is usually posted on the Town Calendar on the Friday or Saturday before the scheduled meeting.

Official minutes for each meeting are usually posted below after approval by the Select Board at a subsequent meeting.
