Eversource Gas Pipeline Project
Eversource has submitted its proposal to install, update and operate a steel main between a new point-of-delivery (POD) station in Longmeadow and the Bliss Street Regulator Station in Springfield to the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) and the Massachusetts Energy Facilities Siting Board (EFSB)
On Tuesday, June 21st the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) office is holding a site visit at 2 locations (Longmeadow Country Club and the Bliss St. Station) related to the Western Mass Natural Gas Reliability Project. Additionally, a virtual project presentation will be held later the same evening. MEPA, Eversource and the public will be invited.

In-person site visit: 11:00 AM on Tuesday June 21, 2022. We will meet at the site of the proposed Point of Delivery facility at the Longmeadow Country Club maintenance facility, 14 Hazardville Road, Longmeadow. The purpose of the site visit is to view existing site conditions and the location of proposed structures.
Virtual public consultation session/video conference: 7:00 PM on Tuesday June 21. Please contact Alex Strysky email@example.com or (857) 408-6957 at least one hour before the meeting for a meeting link or call-in number. The consultation session will include project presentation by the Proponent to provide a description of the project and will provide an opportunity for the public to ask questions and for the MEPA Office to receive advice and comments from agencies, officials, and citizens regarding which environmental issues, if any, are significant for this project. Opinions as to the extent and significance of possible environmental impact will be welcome.
