The Valley Five

What is The Valley Five

The Valley Five is part of a project that was created by a senior at Longmeadow High School in a Community Service Learning Class. The Valley Five encourages people to get up and move while learning more about the wonderful parks that Longmeadow has to offer!

How to Participate in The Valley Five

It's as easy as walking a mile in one of the designated parks and following the pink marker:

  • Bliss Park (Batch Ice Cream)
    • 1st loop: follow the circles, 2nd loop: follow the triangles
  • Greenwood Path (Fusion/Riggio's)
    • 4 loops around the paved path
  • Laurel Park (The Kitchen)
    • 1st loop: follow the circles, 2nd loop: follow the triangles
  • The Meadows (Zens Toyland)
    • Choose your own path
  • Turner Park (Fleet Feet)
    • Follow the circles

Once you complete the mile marked off with pink, head on over to the park's designated store to get a sticker! You can collect up to 5 stickers (one from each park) and feel free to put them anywhere from your car bumper to a water bottle!

For the safety and enjoyment of all visitors, and protection of park resources, please observe the following regulations:

  • Stay on designated trails only
  • Do not create or modify trails
  • Pick up and dispose of trash properly, including pet waste
  • Dogs must be leased and attended to at all times
  • Follow trail etiquette and yield to other users accordingly
  • Move in a single file. Stay to the Right. Pass on the Left. Alert others when approaching
