Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30pm
Location: Olde Town Hall through  May 1; Greenwood Center Community Room beginning May 3
Fee: $80 per person

  • Session #1: March 1 - April 14
  • Session #2: May 3 - June 16

Karate 1


Shotokan Karate-Do (SKIF System) is a traditional Japanese martial art. The study of karate is an inner search for growth and self-discipline, which encompasses many ideals. Students train in the basic exercises involving:

  • Blocking
  • Forms
  • Kicking
  • Punching
  • Self-defense
  • Sparring
  • Stances

A white karate uniform is required for class and can be ordered through the instructor.

Your instructor is Sensei James Shea 7th Dan SKIF (more than 47 years' experience).
