LONGMEADOW CULTURAL COUNCIL SEEKS GRANT APPLICATIONS
The 2023 Local Cultural Council grant application cycle opens September 1, 2022 and runs through October 17, 2022. Online applications are accepted for cultural projects and programs related to the arts, sciences, and humanities to include grants for operating support, ticket subsidies, field trips (PreK through 12), artist residencies, public art, fellowships, site-specific projects, lectures, community events/programs, and other activities, based on local priorities.
The Longmeadow Cultural Council gives highest priority to programs which occur in the Town of Longmeadow and are submitted by Longmeadow residents or organizations and with dates and venues already secured.
Applicants may apply for grants for programs that take place during an 18-month window of eligibility between July 1, preceding the application deadline through December 31, of the following year. This means that applicants are also invited to apply for projects that have already happened prior to LCCs’ grant announcements, with the understanding that funding is not guaranteed.
The Longmeadow Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 Massachusetts cities and towns. Each year, the state legislature allocates funding to the Massachusetts Cultural Council, which then apportions funds to each Massachusetts community thereby helping to provide enriching programs and activities for the benefit of all Massachusetts residents.
